1. Fluvial geomorphologists would assist in examining sediment transport in overland flow . 2. Overland flow in heavily forested areas makes negligible contributions to streamflow.3. Slope wash ( overland flow ) is particularly evident in sparsely vegetated dune slopes. 4. Overland flows converge in topographical depressions where channel initiation begins.5. Soil composition, vegetation, precipitation, and topography dictate the amount and rate of overland flow . 6. This caused blockade of the overland flows and resulted in creation of the lake. 7. However, their dense canopies and thick litter do reduce overland flows compared to grazed grasses. 8. In dry regions, cultivated, and urbanized areas, overland flow is usually a major source of streamflow. 9. A further 10 % is estimated to enter the system by overland flow from the Mekong. 10. A gap left in the mid western side allows for overland flow into Big Cypress National Preserve.
